Procon Project

As Europe’s population continues to age, incontinence has become a significant health and economic challenge, especially in nursing homes. Despite affecting up to 75% of residents, it remains underreported and poorly managed, largely due to reduced cognitive and physical abilities among the elderly. The PROCON project is taking the lead in improving continence care by uniting educational institutions, research organisations, and healthcare professionals. It focuses on evaluating cutting-edge technologies—such as smart continence wear and toileting sensors—alongside new approaches in caregiving, entrepreneurship, and digital skills development…
