Activities

The ProCon Work Plan consists of 6 Work Packages, as illustrated in the following picture. 

Work Package 1: Project management and coordination Expected main activities:

  • Ensure that the project is implemented according to the established plan and in full compliance with the rules and guidelines set by the European Commission/EACEA.
  • Oversee budget and financial management, ensuring that all resources—including human resources—allocated to the work packages are appropriate and efficiently utilised.
  • Organise and facilitate internal communication to support the smooth and effective implementation of the project.
  • Develop, implement, and maintain a comprehensive Project and Data Management Plan.

Work Package 2: Innovation, technology and entrepreneurship in healthcare and nursing homes

Objectives:

  • Co-create and disseminate a framework of recommendations to foster innovation and entrepreneurship in nursing homes, based on the Entrepreneurship Competence Framework (EntreComp).
  • Evaluate and explore a technological solution to support continence care in nursing homes through the analysis of sensor data.
  • Co-create and deliver a course to train students from Higher Education Institutions and Vocational Education and Training programmes in innovation and entrepreneursip in healthcare.

Work Package 3: Education and training in resilience, flexible work practices and continence care in nursing homes Objectives:

  • Co-create a course and train nursing home staff as well as Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education Institutions students on resilience and flexible work practices.
  • Co-create a course and train nursing home staff as well as Vocational Education and Training and Higher Education Institutions students in continence care in nursing homes.

Work Package 4: Multinational pragmatic study

Expected main activities:

 

  • To analyze effects of the PROCON training program on the reduction of urinary incontinence in nursing homes through a multinational pragmatic study conducted in Barcelona (Spain), Alberta (Canada), Leuven (Belgium) and Turku (Finland).

Work Package 5: Quality assurance and project evaluation

Expected main activities: 

  • To constantly monitor the progress of project activities, the achievement of set Key Performance Indicators and timely submission of deliverables.
  • To ensure that project processes and deliverables are of high quality in terms of in terms of relevance, effectiveness, efficiency, and impact.

Work Package 6: Communication, dissemination and exploitation

Expected main activities: 

  • To conceive a comprehensive strategy for communicating the project and for disseminating and exploiting (both commercially and not) its main results.
  • To sustain a wide communication and dissemination of project outcomes and results to relevant stakeholders and target groups beyond the partner organisations and territories involved.
  • To raise awareness of the general public about the benefits produced by the project, thanks to EU funding.
  • To co-create a toolkit of continence care for nursing home residents and their relatives.
  • To co-create policy recommendations to promote innovation and continence care in nursing homes.

  • To co-create policy recommendations to promote innovation and improve continence care in nursing homes.
